Common questions

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?+

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID. To manage or cancel, open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Haircolor AI. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of your current period to avoid the next renewal.

I was charged but my features did not unlock. What do I do?+

First, make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the purchase, then try Restore Purchases in the app's settings. If the issue persists, email info@jhobbie.com with your receipt and we will help right away.

How do I get the best results from the AI color read?+

Take photos in clean, neutral daylight on dry hair, fill the frame with the hair, and avoid heavy filters. The AI uses the photo to read level and tone, so good lighting produces the most accurate starting formula, which you can then edit to your technique.

Is my client data private?+

Yes. Your photos and client data are protected with per-user access controls, so only you can see your clients. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle data.

Does the AI color read send my photos to a third party?+

Yes. When you use the AI color read, the photo you select and your related text are sent to OpenAI, our third-party AI provider, to generate the reading and formula. The app asks for your consent before your first AI color read. Your data is not used to train OpenAI's models and is retained by OpenAI only for a limited period (currently up to about 30 days).
